WHO AM I ?
Be prepared, from this day forward, you need the armor of God.
Ephesians 6:10-13 NIV Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, stand.
Note: Any time you fall into sin, you allow an evil spirit into your life. That’s the reason the Bible states Repent! Only God can help you to stop sinning. Repent today, Please!
Matthew 12:43-45 NIV “When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid (barren) places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean, and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it (seven other spirits more wicked than itself), and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
2 Peter 2:20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
Note: These scriptures show that a person becomes free of Satan and his demons when they truly accept Jesus Christ in their lives, by not just hearing the Word of God but doing it. But we must continue. Otherwise, the Scriptures show the demon will return and bring more demons with him and the life of that person becomes worse than it was at the beginning. Stand firm in your walk with Christ!
Who Am I
Luke 8:26-38 NIV They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee. When Jesus stepped ashore, He was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time, this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house but had lived in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at His feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, don't torture me!” For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. Many times, it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “Legions,” he replied because many demons had gone into him. And they begged Him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and He gave them permission. When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned. When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured. Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them because they were overcome with fear. So, He got into the boat and left. The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with Him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So, the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
Mark 5:20 last verse states: So, the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Note: Decapolis or the Ten Cities: The Ten Cities each with its own independent government.
So, who was this man?
Note: A legion of demons had overtaken this man. A legion is a unit of 3,000-6,000 men in the ancient Roman army. But after Jesus had set him free of the demons possessing him, he became an Evangelist. He traveled to Ten Cities proclaiming the goodness of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. This man’s testimony was so powerful, it influenced thousands to follow Jesus. In Luke verse 37, “Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them because they were overcome with fear.” But this man’s evangelizing changed all this. The people in Decapolis welcomed Jesus.
Mark 7:31-32,37-8:1-2,6-7,9 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. There some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Him to place His hand on the man. 37. People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well”, they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
8:1-2,6-7,9a During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for these people, they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. 6.He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When He had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, He broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before the people, and they did so. They had a few small fish as well; He gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them. 9a. About four thousand men were present. (This number does not mention the women and children, so it was more the four thousand.) Please read Chapter 7 and 8
Note: The devil knew who this man was (the man with the legions of demons) and did everything possible to keep him down.) But Jesus stepped in and changed that. What is the devil doing to intervene in your relationship with Jesus Christ?
WHO AM I?
Don’t you want to know, what is the calling of God on your life? Wouldn’t you truly like to know and start living it? You need to ask yourself Who Am I? And then invite Jesus Christ into your life and see who you become.
*BELIEVE! *
If you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, please say these words with me. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was in Heaven, and He came down to Earth. He took my punishment for my sins, by being beaten and crucified on the cross. They buried Him, and He rose in three days. Now He sits at the right hand of God. I invite the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart and my mind; to start making changes today, In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
