THE PRAYERS OF THE RIGHTEOUS
John 13:34-35 NKJV Jesus said: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another."
But how can we show our love for our brothers and sisters who live in faraway lands?
We can use the power of Intercessory prayer, combined with love, as a powerful weapon against the seen and unseen evil forces. With our prayers seasoned with love, they would be heartfelt, as if we were in the situation ourselves. Be it the loss of family, home, imprisonment, or punishment. James 5:16b Informs us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Jesus said: "Love one another as I have loved you." Jesus showed His love for us, by leaving Heaven and becoming flesh, to understand our problems. The word of God states weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.
With our prayer life, we can also keep the government lifted so Christians under their authority can live a peaceful life.
1 Timothy 2:1-6a NIV states: I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all people.
The television, informs us, of the troubles our family in Christ's face. We should not take this lightly because the scriptures state: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you, are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
If the government is persecuting our family in Christ in faraway lands, don't imagine it will not start here soon. The Bible informs us in 2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
While there is time to pray: PRAY.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER WORKS!
