YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU

Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Note: Set yourself a GOAL. Sometimes a word like goal is just a word when the meaning is not seen.

A Goal is an aim or objective that you work toward with effort and determination.

What has Jesus, ask you to do, for the Kingdom of Heaven?

Matthew 25:14-30 KJV For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another, one; to every man according to his own ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and settled accounts with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not scattered seed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and lazy servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not scattered seed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the bankers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with interest. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto everyone that hath, shall be given, and shall have abundance: but from him that hath not, shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The talent as a unit of value is mentioned in the New Testament in Jesus' parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30). The use of the word "talent" to mean "gift or skill" in English and other languages originated from an interpretation of this parable sometime late in the 13th century.

Note: I will use the talents given as the gifts of God.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7,11 KJV Now there are various kind of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are diversities of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God which worketh all things in all. but the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit all. v. 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, distributing to every man individually as He will.

What are you doing with the gift/gifts God has given you? Are they just laying around dormant? (temporarily inactive or inoperative)?

You can't take it with you. We must all use our gifts NOW. Please don't bury your gift, that God gave you, we all need your gift, right NOW.

Matthew 25:15 states And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another, one; to every man according to his own ability; and straightway took his journey.

Note: Just as their lord,(being a man), knew their abilities. Only God knows who we are and what we are capable of doing.

Psalm 139: 1-4 NIV You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise, you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.

Note: God's thoughts of us are different than our own. He sees us as doing things far more greater than we can ever image, with the Holy Spirit as our helper.

Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Note: After you have done all you can do: STAND, AND ASK GOD, WHAT WILL HE HAVE YOU TO DO, IN THIS SEASON.

Zechariah 4:5b KJV Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts.

Hebrews 6:10-12 KJV For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not sluggish, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Philippians 1:6 NIV Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
