JESUS HAS RISEN! BUT HAS HE ROSE IN YOU?
JESUS HAS RISEN!
BUT HAS HE ROSE IN YOU?
How many of you believe, that Jesus Christ, has risen from the dead, and is sitting at the right hand of God in Heaven?
Luke 24:1-7 On the first day of the week, at the first sign of dawn, they (Mary of Magdala and Mary of James) went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled from the tomb, but on entering, discovered that the body of the Lord Jesus was not there. As they stood there, not knowing what to think, two men (angels) in brilliant clothes suddenly appeared at their side. Terrified, the women lowered their eyes. But the two men said to them, ‘Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; He has risen. Remember, what He told you when He was still in Galilee; that the Son of Man had to be handed over into the power of sinful men and be crucified, and rise again on the third day?’
Note: Jesus was no longer dead, He had rose from the grave.
John 10:17-18 Jesus said: ‘The Father loves Me, because I lay down My life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from Me; I lay it down of My own free will, and as it is in My power to lay it down, so it is in My power to take it up again; and this is the command I have been given by My Father.
JESUS HAS RISEN! BUT HAS HE ROSE IN YOU?
This is a question to those who have been baptized.
Romans 6:1-11,20-23 Does it follow that we should remain in sin so as to let Grace have greater scope? Of course not. We are dead to sin, so how can we continue to live in it? You have been taught that when we were baptized in Christ Jesus, we were baptized in His death; in other words, when we were baptized, we went into the tomb with Him and joined Him in death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's Glory, we too might live a new life. If in union with Christ, we have imitated His death, we shall also imitate Him in His resurrection. We must realize that our former selves have been crucified with Him, to destroy this sinful body and to free us from the slavery of sin. When a man dies, of course, he has finished with sin. But we believe that having died with Christ, we shall return to life with Him: Christ, as we know, having been raised from the dead, will never die again. Death has no power over Him anymore. When He died, He died, once for all, to sin, so His life now, is life with God; and in that way, you too must consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive for God in Christ Jesus.
Verse 20-23 When you were slaves of sin, you felt no obligation to righteousness, and what did you get from this? Nothing but experiences that now make you blush, since that sort of behavior ends in death. Now, however, you have been set free from sin, you have been made slaves of God, and you get a reward leading to your sanctification and ending in eternal life. For the wage paid by sin is death; the present given by God, is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Colossians 2:11-13 In Him, you have been circumcised, with a circumcision not performed by human hand, but by the complete stripping of your body of flesh. This is circumcision according to Christ. You have been buried with Him when you were baptized; and by baptism, too, you have been raised up with Him through your belief in the power of God who raised Him from the dead. You were dead because you were sinners and had not been circumcised: He has brought you to life with Him, He has forgiven us all our sins.
Note: After baptism you should consider yourself as dead to the flesh and alive in the spirit. No more living or obeying the flesh. But living a new life, obeying the Holy Spirit of God.
Were you ever baptized? Was your flesh crucified, the day you were baptized?
Maybe at the time you were baptized, you weren't ready to change. But now ask yourself, am I ready to let Jesus into my heart; so that my life will be changed. If you are ready to let Jesus rise in you, be baptized again. So that you can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit again speaking to you clearly.
If you have never been baptized, listen to the words of our Lord Jesus. John 3:3-6 Jesus answered: ‘I tell you most solemnly, unless a man is born from above, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus said, ‘How can a grown man be born? Can he go back into his mother's womb and be born again?’ Jesus replied: ‘I tell you most solemnly, unless a man is born through water and the spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God: What is born of the flesh is flesh; what is born of the spirit is spirit.
Tomorrow is not promise to you, take action today!!!
Say this prayer with me: ‘I believe, that the Lord Jesus Christ was in Heaven, and that He came down to Earth, and He died on the cross for my sins. He was buried and in three days, He rose. And now He sits at the right hand of God. I invite the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart, to start making changes today. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray. Amen.
