SEVEN DEADLY SINS

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

 

     These sins I'm about to mention, some people do one or two of these almost every day; without even thinking about it. Most Christians don't know that what they are saying or doing is an abomination to God. We must study God's Word while it's available to us.

​

God states in Amos 8:11 NIV The days are coming, declares the Sovereign LORD “When I will send a famine through the land, not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD”.

​

2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned on to fables.

​

1 Timothy 4:1 KJV  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

​

​ We must study God's word while it is available to us.

​

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

​

​By studying God’s Word, you will find out that the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:12-13)

 

STOP DOING THE THINGS GOD HATE!

*Let’s stop here to repent of our sins before we continue.*

Because what we do here (on Earth) matters, we will be judged for our words and actions.

John 12:47-49 NIV “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words; the very Words I have spoken will condemn them on the last day. For I did not speak on My own, but the Father who sent Me commanded Me to say all that I have spoken.”

 

Seven Deadly Sins

Proverbs 6:16-19 KJB These six things doth the LORD hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto Him. A proud look (pride), a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. A heart that devises wicked imagination (devises wicked plans). Feet that be swift in running to mischief (evil). A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

This is the only place in the Bible where God uses the words hate and abomination in the same sentence to describe how He feels about certain actions.

So why are these certain sins labeled as something God hates and considered an abomination to Him?

 

It’s because of our hearts.

Jesus said, Matthew 15:18 KJV “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” Please read Jeremiah 17:10

 

God hates these sins and sees them as an abomination because Satan is the author and finisher of them.

*It was pride that dominated the attitude of Lucifer, another name for Satan, when he rebelled against God.*

Isaiah 14:12-15 KJV How are thou fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Satan used the same sin, pride, that separated him from God, on Eve. *He also used the sin of lying.*

​

Genesis 3:3-5 KJV (Eve said) “But of the fruit of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” And the serpent (Satan) said unto the woman, “Ye shall not surely die. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be open, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (That day we all died in the spirit and the flesh.) Please read Genesis 3

John 8:42-44 NIV Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on My own; God sent Me. Why is My language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

 

One reason, God hates the sin: *of hands that shed innocent blood,* is because that was the sin that killed His Son.

​

Matthew 27:3-4 NIV When Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priest and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, for I have betrayed innocent blood. “What is that to us?” they replied. “That's your responsibility.”

* But God used that situation to save our souls. Thank you, Lord Jesus.*

 

One of the reasons God hates *the heart that devises wicked imagination* Because this was the condition of the world that led to the flood.

​

Genesis 6:5 KJV And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the Earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (all the day).

​

God hates *Feet that be swift in running to mischief (evil)*

​

Isaiah 59:7 KJB Their feet run too evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

 

One reason God hates *A false witness that speaketh lies*

​

Matthew 26:59-61 NIV The chief priest and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put Him to death. But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally, two came forward and declared, “This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.” Read what Jesus said in John 2:19

 

The Bible tells us how to treat this type of person: *He that soweth discord among brethren.*

​

Titus 3:10-11 NIV Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.

 

STOP DOING THE THINGS GOD HATE!

 

PLEASE REPENT AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS

TODAY!

Don't wait until it's too late, and try to repent.

Revelations 20:12,15 states; And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

​

Say this prayer with me: I know I am a sinner, and I need the blood of Jesus to cleanse my sins. So I repent of my sins. I confess that I believe in my heart that the Lord Jesus Christ was in Heaven, came down to Earth, and died on the cross for my sins. He was buried, and in three days, He rose. Now, He sits at the right hand of God. I invite the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart to start making changes today. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
